The Platte Canyon Learning & Mastering is probably the most interactive bit of multimedia training I've ever experienced. That is probably because they were in charge of the effort and controlled the schedule and budget AND knew the subject matter.

I would like to add that I think the Learning & Mastering CD is one of the best tools for learning all the aspects of ToolBook I've ever seen. I've been through the ToolBook course with an approved instructor and the CD. I feel that this CD is worth a lot more than the asking price. It would behoove and organization to purchase this CD and I hardly ever use the word behoove.

I've got to second Jocelyn's recommendation for "Learning and Mastering ToolBook Instructor"! A great product from every perspective. The L&M module itself is an excellent example of what you can accomplish using ToolBook. The content is very comprehensive and laid out in a way that even the greenest ToolBooker can follow while not boring the more experienced user. I've learned an awful lot just by browsing the code and trying to understand all the things that make this little jewel tick. As I don't have a formal programming background, it's been an excellent reference in learning to code the *right* way.

I have found the "Learning and Mastering" CD to be an invaluable resource!

I bought the Learning & Mastering CD the first week it was available. Now every new programmer studies with the CD (it takes around 5-6 hours not the 20 we used to have to spend) and gets a really good introduction about TB and OpenScript. Also, programmers with experience have studied with the CD and it has helped them to review concepts and to learn different ways of doing their activities. Initiatives such as this CD help small companies as ours in the process of "Learning and Mastering ToolBook."
