Objects - Name Objects
Use this tool to name all objects of a selected type on a page.
Here are the steps for naming all the fields on a page:
Open this editor.
Select the type of object to rename, in this case "field".
Enter the "common" part of the name. If you want the fields to be named testField 1, testField 2, testField 3, etc., you would enter "testField". If you wanted the names to be 1, 2, 3, etc., then you would leave the "common" field blank.
Enter a naming extension if desired. You type in the first character in the series. If you enter a number, the first object will have that extension and the rest will be incremented. If you enter a character, the first object will have that extension and the rest will have incremented ANSI values. For example, entering an a would give us the names testField a, testField b, testField c, etc.
Check the Put Space Between Base and Extension box if you want testField 1 instead of testField1.
Note: you can collapse this dialog by clicking on the collapse graphic () at the top of the screen and then expand it again by clicking the expand graphic ().
